The city of Samsun, Turkey has built a small “town” within a forest just for stray cats. The shelters in the area capture strays that are walking the streets, spay/neuter them, provide any needed medical care and release them into this feline community. They even have a resident vet that cares for the kitties. The town has built build bridges and housing structures to provide the cats with shelter and enrichment, and they’re planning to keep expanding this kitty town!
I think this is a beautiful thing, and I wish more cities would implement something like this.
Yes! This is what we need all over! Turkey provides positive examples for caring for cats for the entire world ! ❤️😻Build our community cats a city instead of trapping them and dumping 😡them in a city “shelter” where they may not leave 😓😓
